All of the classes that we teach are meant to be fun and intrinsically rewarding. That’s because movement feels good– our bodies like it. We don’t worry about getting the moves “exactly” the “right way” because there is no “right way” when you are dancing for fun and for fitness. We love to say, “if you are moving, you are doing it right!”
Here are the descriptions of some of the classes that we teach:
Beginning Moves Beginning Moves is a dance-fitness class that is ideal for beginner exercisers and beginner dancers. Get ready for an hour of movin’, shakin’ and groovin’ as you dance away your cares and get a low impact cardio workout while you’re at it. The steps we’ll do in this class will focus on the most basic level of difficulty, and you can expect lots of repetition to help you learn the steps better. Everyone dances, including you, in Beginning Moves! Dance Impact Hit it, Kick it then Bounce it and Shake it in this exhilarating fusion of dance and martial arts. This class promises a heart-pumping hour of fun and muscle-toning for the entire body. Come relieve some stress and jam to the beat while throwing some punches, blocks and kicks. Then spice it up even more with some feel-good simple dance moves in between. DanceOut! DanceOut! is a dance-inspired fitness class that feels like more like a party than a workout. Jam to HOT tunes from many different musical genres, including Hip Hop, Latin, Pop, Swing, Oldies, Reggae and More! The moves are simple and repetitive so everyone can do it, plus you will move your entire body and have fun while doing it! If you don’t like to workout, but you like to dance, then this class is for YOU! Don’t workout, DanceOut! Urban Shimmy The East meets the West in this eclectic mix of Middle Eastern and Western music and dance styles, including Belly dance, Bhangra and Hip Hop. You will get a cardio workout, but be ready to also tone and shape your arms, abs and buns with these hot moves. Shimmy around the world with us in Urban Shimmy! Zumba Zumba is a Latin-dance inspired fitness class with salsa, merengue, samba, bachata, mambo, cumbia, reggaeton and other international rhythms. Zumba incorporates full-body moves that are easy to follow and fun to do. You will tone your entire body and lose weight all while having a great time.
